09.29.2022 — The challenge of finding the third dimension in a world drawn on paper

Yesterday the exhibition "Comic. Dreams and History" was inaugurated at CaixaForum in Barcelona for which I had the honour of designing the exhibition space and scenography. The challenge of this project has been to exhibit more than 350 pieces that have the same format: original comic pages - icons of the history of this genre - framed to be installed in a space of more than 800 square metres.

The scenic language has been vital to create spaces that envelop visitors, creating a rhythm and a constant dialogue with the works on display and finding the third dimension in a world drawn on paper.

This project has been possible thanks to the trust placed in me and in my studio by the "la Caixa" Foundation and, of course, thanks to being able to work with his great team. The premiere of this exhibition was in Madrid before the summer and it will continue its journey throughout Spain.
