Ignasi Cristià signs the scenography and design of the award-winning exhibition.

The exhibition “Suzanne Valadon. A Modern Epic”, hosted by the Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya (MNAC), has been awarded the 2024 ACCA Prize for Historical Curation. Curated by Eduard Vallès and Philip-Dennis Cate, the project recovers the figure of Valadon as a modern and pioneering painter.

The scenography and exhibition design were created by Ignasi Cristià, who conceived the space as an immersive journey that dialogues with the expressive power of Valadon's work. Through a design that combines subtlety, narrative depth, and meticulous attention to historical detail, the proposal strengthens the modern and timeless dimension of the artist.

The award from the Catalan Association of Art Critics (ACCA) highlights not only the significance of the exhibition project but also the collective effort that has brought to life a show that has already captivated both audiences and critics.
