Transforming Museography

After more than ten years working as a dramaturg and scenographer, in 1999 I founded my own studio to bring the transformative power of dramatic action to the world of museography, a hallmark of my creations. Dramaturgy, understood as the art of crafting a narrative that guides and moves the audience, has become the central axis of my work, connecting disciplines and diverse languages to bring each project to life. This experience remains alive in my practice, as seen in my stage direction of Un ballo in maschera at the Varna Opera Theater (Bulgaria) and the monodrama Medea, with music by Ambrosi Carrión and Joan Manén, at the Auditori de Barcelona.

At our studio, we specialize in comprehensive museography, covering everything from conceptualization and writing of museographic scripts to design and production oversight. Our goal is to create exhibitions that are authentic immersive experiences, where the message is conveyed not only through narration and storytelling but also through senses and emotions.

When a museographic installation requires it, we rely on our in-house production company, La Rara Avis Films, to develop audiovisual content that complements and enriches the exhibition narrative. This integration allows us to carefully manage every detail and ensure the narrative and aesthetic coherence of the project.

We take on projects of various scales, from large exhibitions to smaller initiatives that demand specific solutions. Our studio is formed by interior designer Jose Castelló and myself, working together on every project. To achieve this, we collaborate with an extensive network of external professionals from diverse disciplines, pooling talents to ensure the best outcome for each proposal.

This constant pursuit of excellence, combined with our ability to integrate disciplines, media, and dramaturgy as a central axis, is our formula for creating spaces that deeply connect with audiences and transform the museographic experience.
